A Baroque touch in modern dressage
There are occasions where it just can’t be enough ‘baroque’ and ‘bling’: shows, demonstrations and when your promoting your horses breed for example. But what if you’re riding dressage competitions with your baroque horse?
Barokshop.com also has equipment and accessories with a more subtle baroque touch. That way you show your love for baroque in a stylish way, appropriate for modern dressage competitions.

Let’s start with the bridle. Our suggestion is the snaffle bridle Ravi Barock. It has a soft padded noseband and is made of supple leather. The Portuguese buckles give it the baroque look. This bridle can be used with a normal snaffle. At the moment it’s available in black, but soon we’ll have it in more sizes and the color ‘cognac-brown’ with gold-colored buckles as well. The snaffle Vladimir matches beautifully with the brown version of the bridle, and is available in different sizes.
Another subtle eyecatcher can be the stirrups. Silver or gold colored and that way always matching with the rest of the equipment. You can choose for the elegance of the Torla’s and Toledo’s, but the Marbella’s are a good choice as well to use for dressage competitions. And of course these stirrups are more beautiful than the regular stainless steel stirrups that are probably at the moment attached on your dressagesaddle…
The saddlecloth is next. In most countries you’re free to choose the color and shape of it, but there’s nothing wrong with the traditional white saddlecloth. A cord in another color(for example in gold or silver, just like the color of your stirrups, and the buckles of your bridle) can be a nice subtle finishing touch.
The baroque shape and the superior quality of our saddlecloths, make them an excellent choice for your competition-outfit.
Of course the boots, helmet and riding jacket need to match with the rest of the outfit. Preferably, the leather color of both the saddle and bridle is similar. The color you choose is a matter of taste and depends as well on the color of your horse. Make sure that all the metal parts in your outfit have the same color, the bit, buckles of the stirrupleathers and the buckles on your jacket as well. This way you show that you have an eye for detail and this kind of perfection is also rewarded in modern dressage!
